ERIC Digest: American Indian/Alaskan Native Learning Styles: Research and Practice From the web site, "Educators of American Indian and Alaskan Native students are concerned for a growing number of students who do not find school a meaningful place. These students are becoming school weary.' Studies of learning style among Native students provide some clues about this phenomenon, and this Digest presents a brief review of that literature. ERIC Digest: Standardized Testing of American Indian Students From the web site, "The testing of many American Indian children using exams developed for the majority American society represents a case of cross-cultural testing which is likely to produce invalid results in the form of underestimation of student performance. This digest discusses limitations of the use of standardized tests with many American Indian students and delineates sources and consequences of invalid test results ensuing from the administration of standardized tests to unacculturated American Indian students."
