This is a web slide show on indigenous medicine. It covers such topics as philosophy of treatment, common native healing practices, shamanism, smudging and herbs, the medicine wheel, the sweat lodge, Native American teas, and childbirthing. Created as a student project for a nursing class at the University College of the Cariboo, Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.

This is the online version of an exhibit held at the National Library of Medicine in 1994 that portrays the history of health care provided by the US Government to Native Americans as shown through historical photographs and letters by health care administrators. From the web site, "the exhibit focuses on the administration of health care to Native American recipients by the United States Government. It examines the evolution of government responsibility and its transfer through the Departments of War, the Interior, and Health, Education, and Welfare, now the Department of Health and Human Services."
