American Indian Records in the National Archives 
From the web site, "This select catalog lists the records published on microfilm by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) that relate directly to American Indians, to the formation of federal Indian policy, and to the personnel who created or enforced that policy." 
It includes BIA records, census rolls, records relating to treaties, and more.  You won't be able to see the actual documents, but you can find out if they are housed here.  From the National Archives and Records Administration web site.

This publication of the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada contains several chapters on First Nations history, as well as a description of the culture of various First Nations.

From the web site, "Early Canadiana Online (ECO) is a full text online collection of more than 3,000 books and pamphlets documenting Canadian history from the first European contact to the late 19th century.
